RBS identified through employee surveys that their existing intranet was ineffective. They approached us to create a new, user-driven intranet that integrated all current applications into a connected ecosystem for employees across UK-wide offices.
Challenge
The challenge was to consolidate years of UI, UX, and technology debt into a modern, usable intranet that met the needs of all employees. We conducted extensive user interviews with employees from various departments, creating four unique user personas: Subject Experts, Managers, Communications, and Customer-Facing employees. This guided the projects direction and design decisions.
Results
The final product was a bespoke, personalised intranet featuring a customisable homepage, enhancing communication and collaboration across RBS’s offices. This user-centric intranet, was validated through continuous testing and refinement to effectively meet the diverse needs of the RBS employees by fostering a connected and efficient working environment.
